Rediscover Your Dog
Dog behavior training in Ball Ground can help when challenging behavior starts to change the relationship you have with your dog. Walks become stressful, visitors become difficult, and everyday situations you once enjoyed together can feel overwhelming. Behavior modification looks beyond the unwanted behavior to understand what is driving it and create a practical plan for you and your dog.
Whether you’re dealing with reactivity, fear, anxiety, resource guarding, excessive barking, or other behavioral concerns, every situation starts with understanding the individual dog. We’ll look at your dog’s history, environment, triggers, body language, and behavior as a whole rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all solution.
A big part of that process is helping you better understand your dog. I’ll teach you to recognize their signals, respond with greater clarity and confidence, and understand why we’re taking each step. The goal is to give you the knowledge and tools to make meaningful progress and enjoy life with your dog again.
Behavior Modification Training
Behavior modification is offered through private, one-on-one sessions tailored to your dog and the challenges you’re experiencing. Because behavioral concerns can vary widely from one dog to another, we’ll focus on what’s happening in your everyday life and build a training plan around your specific situation.
Behavior Modification | Starting at $125
Sessions may address concerns such as reactivity, fear, anxiety, resource guarding, excessive barking, impulse control, and other unwanted behaviors. We’ll work on practical strategies for managing the behavior while also addressing the underlying patterns contributing to it.
Depending on your dog’s needs, sessions may include identifying triggers, reading body language, changing your dog’s response to difficult situations, building confidence, improving communication, and teaching alternative behaviors. You’ll also learn what to practice between sessions so progress can continue outside of our time together.
Most behavior modification training takes place at our Ball Ground property, but working in your home or another real-world environment may be appropriate depending on the behavior we’re addressing.
On-Property Training: $125 per session or 3 sessions for $350
Mobile Training up to ~15 minutes away: $150 per session
Mobile Training up to ~30 minutes away: $175 per session
Mobile training is available on a limited basis depending on location and availability.
“John is the real deal. Didn’t even flinch when our anxiety-in-overdrive, reactive, barking 200-lb. Mastiff decided to guard our living room. John has this incredible calm about him that dogs seem to pick up on. He taught us to read some of the more subtle signals and ‘tells’ our wrinkly monster exhibited. John is extremely knowledgeable about animal behavior.”
